We are often fretting over a few possessions. We often complain and accuse Allah SWT of being unfair for the sustenance we receive. Even though Allah SWT has given us health every time. Allah SWT still allows our hearts to keep beating, without having to pay a penny.
Let us consider the following verse, “As for humans, when their Rabb tests them, then He glorifies them and gives them pleasure, then He will say:” My Rabb has glorified me “. As for when his Rabb tested him and then limited his sustenance, He said: “My Rabb insulted me”, (Surah Al-Fajr: 15-16).
Imam Ibn Jarir Ath-Tabari explained, “As for human beings when they are tested by their Rabb by being given favors and wealth, that is, they are honored with wealth and glory and given abundant favors, he also said,” Allah has truly glorified me. ” He was rejoiced and happy, then he said, “My Rabb has glorified me with this gift,” (Tafsir Ath-Tabari, 30: 228).
Then Ath-Tabari explained, “As for a human being, if he is hit by a disaster by his Rabb and his sustenance is narrowed down, that is, his sustenance is not so much, then he also says that his Rabb has humiliated or humiliated him. So that he is not grateful for the gifts that Allah has given in the form of the safety of limbs and sustenance in the form of healthy favors in his body, “(Tafsir Ath-Tabari, 30: 228).
From Mu’adz bin ‘Abdullah bin Khubaib, from his father, from his uncle, the Prophet SAW said, “It doesn’t matter why someone is rich as long as he is pious. Health for a godly person is better than rich. And a happy heart is part of the blessings, “(Narrated by Ibn Majah no. 2141 and Ahmad, 5: 372. Al-Hafizh Abu Thahir said that this hadith sanad is authentic).
